There are a few steps you will need to take to ensure success when it comes to growing tomatoes in a greenhouse. First, it is important to choose the right variety of tomato for your greenhouse. Certain varieties are better suited for greenhouse growing conditions than others. Look for varieties that are disease resistant, require minimal pruning, and are specifically bred for greenhouse use. Next, it is important to create the right soil conditions for your tomatoes. A sandy loam soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8 is ideal for tomato cultivation. Add plenty of organic matter such as compost or aged manure to the soil to promote healthy root growth. After the soil is prepared, it is time to prepare the greenhouse. Tomatoes prefer temperatures of around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit at night. The greenhouse should be adequately ventilated to prevent disease and excessive heat. The greenhouse should also be equipped with a water system so that your tomatoes can be watered with ease. When it comes to planting the** tomatoes**, space them far enough apart so that they have enough room to grow. It is also important to ensure that the soil is consistently moist, but not overly saturated. Watering your tomatoes deeply and consistently is key to producing a healthy crop. Finally, tomatoes need plenty of sunlight to thrive. Make sure that the greenhouse is positioned in a spot that gets at least six hours of direct sunlight each day. If possible, supplement the sunlight with grow lights to ensure that your tomatoes are getting enough light. By following these steps, you can successfully grow tomatoes in your greenhouse and enjoy a plentiful harvest of delicious tomatoes all year round. #### It's only fair to share... - ![Facebook](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/hubfs/SolaWrap_Films_April2018/images/facebook.png) - ![Google+](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/hubfs/SolaWrap_Films_April2018/images/google.png) - ![Twitter](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/hubfs/SolaWrap_Films_April2018/images/twitter.png) - ![Linkedin](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/hubfs/SolaWrap_Films_April2018/images/linkedin.png) - ![Pinterest](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/hubfs/SolaWrap_Films_April2018/images/pinterest.png) - [![Email](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/hubfs/SolaWrap_Films_April2018/images/email.png)](mailto:?body=www.solawrapfilms.com) By [SolaWrap Films Writers](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/greenhouse-plastic-blog/author/solawrap-films-writers) | January 3rd, 2023 | [growing tomatoes](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/greenhouse-plastic-blog/tag/growing-tomatoes) | Comments Off #### Share This Story, Choose Your Platform!
